Fire Safety
We have thorough fire safety protocols in use, as well as a detailed Fire Emergency Evacuation Procedure, which you can read here. Fire Evacuation Plans can be found throughout the building, next to fire alarms and extinguishers. You should be aware of your nearest fire escape when using the facilities at Energise Pentney. Please familiarise yourself with the layout of Energise Pentney, and follow the steps below if required.
On discovery of a fire
Raise the alarm by pressing the nearest fire alarm to you and loudly shouting ‘Fire, Fire, Fire’
If it is safe to do so, please alert a member of staff - the member of staff will call Emergency Services and organise the evacuation of the building
If you cannot alert a member of staff, please dial ‘999’ and give the following address:

First Aid
We comply with all safety regulations and are proud to provide a safe environment for our visitors and staff. Instructions on how to use each part of the facility are outlined within the building, and you should familiarise yourself with and follow these rules. You can also view tutorials on how to safely use our gym equipment here.
Defibrillator
Our defibrillator is located at the front of the building, by the access ramp to the swimming pool. If use is required, you’ll be given a code by 999 to unlock it. Please follow their instructions. All of our staff are trained in Emergency First Aid and use of the Defibrillator.
A first aid kit is available at Reception. Please note you’ll be asked to complete a form in our Accident Book if use is required.

Use of Vehicles
Our site has a 5MPH speed limit. You must drive slowly and carefully; children and animals may be within the grounds. Please park considerately. Two disabled parking bays are available, with step free access to Reception.
