Carer Passes for Blue Badge Holders

ADD A CARER MEMBERSHIP, OR SINGLE DAY PASS TO YOUR MEMBERSHIP

The following guidance explains how a Carer can accompany you at Energise Pentney if you are a Blue Badge holder. If you are not a Blue Badge holder, our standard Membership terms will apply.

As a Member of Energise, you are entitled to arrange an add-on Carer Membership, if you are a Blue Badge holder, in addition to your standard Membership, and under the following terms.

A Carer Membership is available to adults aged over 18, at a discounted price of £30 per month. The Carer Membership has a one month minimum term, and no cancellation fee. No joining fee is applicable to a Carer Membership. A Carer Membership can be applied for at any point during your Membership, it does not need to be at the same time as your Membership begins.

This membership will be in your (the members) name, though can be paid for separately if required.

Under the Carer Membership or Carer Single Day Pass, access to all facilities is available.

Please note:

A Carer Membership is only valid when accompanying you. Access will not be granted to a carer when not accompanying you.

If your Carer wishes to use Energise Pentney when not accompanying you, they should purchase a full priced membership here

Alternatively, a Single Day Pass can be purchased at £10 per visit, when accompanying a registered Member. Please see below for the application process.

HOW TO APPLY

You will need to register in-person (rather than online) to apply for and purchase a Carer Membership or Carer Single Day Pass. On application, please provide proof of your disability by bringing ONE of the following forms of documentation (valid within a two year timescale of the date you choose to join):

  • A valid Blue Badge

  • Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 18-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book

  • CredAbility Access Card

If you have none of the above, please bring alternative evidence to be reviewed.

Your carer will need to sign in at each visit by giving their name and presenting a valid ID for our safety records, and proof that they are your Carer. Proof of the Carer’s role can be in the form of a disability benefit award letter, a Carer's Card or Blue Badge. If these forms of proof are not available, a letter from the GP or social services can be accepted.

Any Carer accompanying you will need to complete their own health disclaimer on their first visit, and sign our standard Terms of Use.

For clarity, your Carer does not need to be the same person at each visit, but they must provide proof that they are your Carer at each visit.

IF YOU ARE HAVING A TREATMENT (AS A MEMBER, OR A NON-MEMBER, OF ENERGISE PENTNEY) AT OUR TREATMENT ROOMS AND REQUIRE A CARER TO ACCOMPANY YOU:

No charge is applicable to the Carer accompanying you. Please let us know on booking if a Carer will be accompanying you, so we can make appropriate arrangements. Most treatments can be tailored to sensory requirements (e.g. a fully lit treatment room, no music, no essential oils) and can be altered to mobility requirements (e.g. seated) so please contact us to discuss your needs and preferences with a Therapist at the time of booking. Your Carer will be required to sign the Visitor Log.

You may need to consult your GP before attending - some Treatments will require GP approval. Book in online here.
